Social Studies

Primary 5 invited their parents in to show what they had learned about the Titanic

Through social studies, children and young people develop their understanding of the world by learning about other people and their values, in different times, places and circumstances; they also develop their understanding of their environment  and how it has been shaped.

A concept/skills approach is adopted within the social studies topic programme. The programmes of work encourage pupils to learn about the world around them and develop appropriate skills through experiences and outcomes in historical, geographical, social, political, economic and business contexts.
