Registration and Enrolment
A child who reaches his/her fifth birthday between 1st March 2012 and 28th February 2013 shall be registered in the local primary school for which they are zoned before 1st February 2013.
Dates for registration will be advertised in the local newspaper.
Parents wishing to visit the school and/or enrol their children in Wemyss Bay Primary School should contact Mrs Irvine, Head Teacher, or the school secretary by telephone on 01475 715976 or in person at the school.
Parents are requested to bring Birth Certificates and proof of residence e.g. Council Tax letter, utility bill etc. If a placing request is being considered parents are asked to inform the Head Teacher during registration at the Primary School for which they are zoned. At this point the necessary forms will be distributed for completion and information regarding placing requests given to parents.
Any parent wishing to make a placing request to a school outwith their catchment area should, in the first instance, enrol their child in the primary school for which they are zoned. The school will then issue the parent or carer with the necessary information and forms. The Education Authority does not provide transport for those pupils in receipt of a placing request other than in exceptional circumstances.
